In football, talent is never enough to succeed at the highest level.

Despite initial expectations regarding the player, a combination of factors not limited to injuries, depression, lack of discipline, poor advisor’s, life style etc over the year’s have proven to be the Achilles Heel of several footballers initially projected to reach the very top of the game.

A few examples that instantly pop to mind are Kevin-Prince Boateng, who despite playing for 12 club’s across five countries, never truly fulfilled his potential due to a combination of injuries and discipline.

Nigerian star forward Ike Uche failed to reach the projected heights initially projected in the early stages of his professional career due to ill-luck with injuries notably at club level.

Once-upon-a-time kid sensations Bojan Krkic and Freddy Adu and their fans would look back with grave disappointment as they didn’t sparkle when it mattered most despite dazzling as teenagers.

The above examples and discussions should serve as a part of a guideline for the games next generation.
